Filippo Carloni

Filippo Carloni got his Ph.D. in Information Technology from Politecnico di Milano in 2025. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Engineering
from the Politecnico di Milano in 2018 and 2021, respectively. His main research focuses on combining hardware acceleration with compiler optimizations to achieve both performance and flexibility in highly demanding and resource constrained scenarios. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at CNIT and a Visiting Researcher at Politecnico di Milano, where he focuses on domain‐specific compilers and customized offloading techniques that exploit hardware acceleration on specialized FPGA‐ and ASIC‐based SmartNICs.
